Kaori has a very controlling personality. She has strong personal ties to Reiko Shinomi, and an interest in Yuu, though she doesn’t seem to like him at all. The series includes several scenes of her striding down hallways in stiletto heels that make a determined clicking sound as she walks. She often has her expression hidden by a light flashing on her glasses. She is a hard character to read, a complete contrast with Yuu whose face is an open book.
When Yuu becomes a pilot at the International Military Organization he does not know that she is his sister. In episode 9, however, when she points a gun at him, he has a flashback to a childhood memory, and he finally recognizes who she is.
The black lenses of Kaori’s glasses in both of these cels actually have a flashing light effect in the scene.
