Seijyu (Sacred Tree) is a puppet who believes that, like the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, he has no heart. In reality, Toraoh gave him a part of his when he sent him to find Wataru before he was captured. Seijyu does eventually find Wataru and accompanies him on his journey up the mountain.
When Toraoh is finally found towards the end of the series, Seijyu gives the heart piece back to him with the help of one of two sacred Magatama given to them by the magical guardians of level six. A tear from Seijyu falls on a magatama which allows Toraoh to regain his memories, at which time Seijyu again becomes a puppet. He is revived by Doru-san, who is so distraught at his sacrifice, that she cries and her tear drips on the other sacred magatama, giving Seijyu a heart again.
