Card Captor Sakura is a very popular magical girl manga series by CLAMP. It was made into a TV series by Madhouse Studio which ran from 1998 to 2000. The series was directed by Morio Asaka with character design by Kumiko Takahashi. There are also movies and games, and Sakura later returns to manga and anime with the CLAMP series Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
This cel is from TV episode 54. Sakura wishes to commemorate her great-grandfather’s birthday and needs flowers, but it is too late to buy them at a florist. She is asking her magical friend and Clow card guardian Kero if it would be safe to use the card Flower to obtain some. I love her determined expression and her appropriately themed outfit!
