Hyper Police is a 25-episode TV series from Studio Pierrot directed by Takahiro Omori which aired in 1997. The show is based on a manga by Minoru Tachikawa.
The world where this story takes place is in an alternate version of Tokyo. Due to a war in the recent past, various creatures entered the human world. Some humans and creatures mated and their progeny have characteristics of both parents., Natsuki is half-human/half “nekomata” and a member of a “private” police force which are bounty hunters rather than officers upholding the law. Natsuki has special powers that allow her to give off electrical shocks, which can be handy for subduing suspects.
