Vampire Princess Miyu, 2 layers, A1 B1 KEY, non-matching background, TV
This cel was sold with the background, but it may not be a matching one. While Miyu’s eyes in this cel appear brown, when she is hunting as a vampire they appear gold. The 1st Vampire Princess Miyu first was released as a 4-part OVA in 1988-89 before the TV version was shown in 1997-98. Both were based on a supernatural horror manga series by Toshiki Hirano (writer) and Narumi Kakinouchi (artist). The character design was adapted for the series by Yasuyuki Inaba.
Miyu is a vampire who appears to be a young adolescent girl but is far older. As “The Guardian”, She searches and sends stray Shinma in the human world back to the underworld. Miyu is accompanied by Shiina, a rabbit-like pink companion, and her Western Shinma guardian Larva. Both Miyu series were made at studio AIC.
