Photon the Idiot Adventures, 1 layer, A18, no sketch, no background, AIC Stamped, OVA
For Photon the Idiot Adventure, I am starting off with the end. This cel is literally appears around the end of the last episode. Don’t worry, seeing it here first will not give away the plot if you haven’t watched it first.
The 6 episode comedy sci-fi series from studio AIC was created by Masaki Kajishima, best known for creating the many Tenchi Muyo series. The director was Koji Masunari.
AIC was maybe the only studio that directly sold its cels online. The company would post pages of images with prices, then they were sold first-come-first-serve. All of the cels purchased from the company came with an AIC embossment stamp and without a drawing. Some authentic cels do exist in collections with a drawing and without a stamp, but a great many, including many of my collection’s Photon, Vampire Princess Miyu, and Pretty Sammy game, OVA, and TV cels, were purchased this way.
