Boogiepop Phantom is an interesting series. It is a 12-episode anime continuation of the original light novels Boogiepop and Others and Boogiepop at Dawn by Kouhei Kodono. The horror series was created by Madhouse Studio, directed by Takashi Watanabe, and features character designs by the illustrator Kouji Ogata who also created artwork for the novels. This series used a low-key color palette and a vignette effect in almost all episodes.
Mamoro’s story appears in episode 7. An unpleasant person, he has just realized he has somehow developed a special power after he blows up a cat.
